Thai Basil
Description:
The Thai basil is an edible plant, popular with Thai-style dishes and also pesto for dips and pastas.
Planting and Care:
-Requires full sunlight
-Water moderately
-Prune and trim every 2 weeks
Recommended Recipe:
Thai-Style Basil Pork / Chicken with Chilli
Ingredients:
-5 cloves garlic, minced
-1 small onion, diced
-300g fresh minced pork / chicken
-1 cup Thai basil leaves
-5-10 Small chilli (add according to taste)
-1 tablespoon oyster sauce
-2 tablespoon fish sauce/soya sauce
-1 ½ tablespoon dark sauce
– Olive oil, as needed

Cooking:
-Lightly fry garlic in olive oil till flavour is released
-Add in mince meat and stir fry until they are almost cooked.
-Add in the seasonings, red chillies and basil
-Serve with jasmine rice and fried egg
