The pineapple is a tropical fruit and usually used as a addition to sweet and savoury dishes.
Planting and Care:
-Requires full sunlight
-Water moderately
-Fertilize once every 2 month
Recommended Recipe:
Pineapple Fried Rice
Ingredients:
-2 cups cold brown rice
-3 tablespoons dried shrimp, soaked and drained
-3 tablespoons oil
-1 ½ cup chopped pineapple
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 tablespoon soya sauce
-2 eggs, beaten
-Salt to taste
-Fresh cilantro leaves for garnishing
Cooking:
-Lightly fry garlic in olive oil till flavour is released
-Add in dried shrimp and fry until fragrant
-Dish up, fry eggs until scrambled, add in rice, fry until hot,
-Add in pineapple, shrimps, seasonings. Serve with cilantro.
