Aloe Vera
Description:
Aloe vera is a succulent plant. It has serrated, fleshy leaves that flower in the summer, which make it suitable as an ornamental plant.
Planting and Care:
-Requires bright indirect sunlight
-Water moderately
-Well drained porous soil
Recommended Recipe:
Aloe Vera with gingko nuts, dried longan and white fungus
Ingredients:
-100g fresh Aloe Vera, weight after removal of skin
-30 Pcs of gingko nuts
-30g dried longan
-1 white fungus, soaked and cut into smaller pieces.
-800ml water
-40g rock sugar
-10 dried red dates
Cooking:
-Boil water, add in gingko, red dates, dried longans and boil then in a close lid for about 10mins
-Remove the skin of the aloe vera to extract the transparent gel. Dice the flesh.
-Add into the pot to boil for another 5mins.
-Lastly add the white fungus and rock sugar to cook for another 10mins.
Serve warm or chilled
